Daniel Haron has been named CEO of Nashville-based NuScriptRX, a company that helps long-term facilities administer medications to their patients.

He had former served as president of Cigna Pharmacy Management before accepting the position at NuScriptRX. One of the company’s board members, Donald Taylor, has been serving as interim CEO since July 2012.

“We are grateful to Don Taylor for his willingness to serve as our interim CEO and to position our company to attract a CEO like Dan Haron,” said Dennis Bottorff, chairman of the board for NuScriptRX. “He has a superior record of achieving high service, growth and earnings results in our industry.”

Haron also served as executive vice president of operations at Cigna Pharmacy Management for three years before accepting the president’s role. Prior to his work at Cigna, Haron served as senior vice president and vice president of pharmacy for Brooks and Eckerd Pharmacy. Additionally, Haron was with CVS/Pharmacy for 14 years.

“NuScriptRX is well positioned as a leader as we deploy our technology driven short-cycle drug dispensing model designed to increase patient safety, reduce waste, medication costs and medication administration time, while providing access around the clock,” said Haron.
