Schnecksville, PA, April 12, 2017 — Care.IT Inc. re-opened the formerly CareWorks medical clinic inside the Weis Markets store in Schnecksville on March 24, 2017. The clinic is open five days a week from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., closed Wednesdays and Thursdays, and may be accessed online 24/7.Dr. Fran Fasching, NP is the chief operator of the clinic. Dr. Fasching is a long-time resident of “the Valley” and brings with her 25 years of emergency medicine experience at Lehigh Valley Health Network.

“We look forward to being a part of Schnecksville. We’re here to build personal relationships and provide critical and affordable health care services to this community,” said Sean Elwell, co-founder and CEO of Care.IT (pronounced “carrot”) and former head of strategy and operations at Aetna.

Dr. Fasching notes, “Patients come to Care.IT for respiratory infections, chronic condition management, flu shots, vaccines, sports physicals, occupational medicine, seasonal allergies, functional medicine, women’s issues and more. Care.IT is well integrated with local health systems and can refer patients to specialty care when necessary.”

Care.IT accepts cash paying customers and most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Services are free to patients with many forms of insurance.

The first-of-its-kind Care.IT walk-in clinic in Schnecksville combines traditional, in-person care with virtual care. Patients can visit the clinic in person and opt to have their follow up visit online, at a discounted rate, from the convenience of their smart phone or home computer. Patients like having the same doctor who treated them in person, followup with them online – it’s continuation of care made conveniently. Of course patients can always choose to have their followup visit in person too. The clinic facilities have been up-fitted with state-of-the-art systems that can resolve many of the routine and chronic care conditions that typically end up in emergency rooms for a fraction of the cost.

Care.IT is best known for its online telemedicine platform, available at www.care.it. Online, patients can either text chat or see a doctor via live video to be diagnosed, prescribed medications electronically and referred for lab work and medical imaging without leaving the comfort of their home.

“Care.IT is a technology company that cares about people,” said Elwell. “The clinics are part of our core belief that better care outcomes come when you can better connect with the people who trust us with their medical care.”

Rick Seipp, vice president of pharmacy at Weis Markets, has worked closely with the Care.IT in-store clinic and telehealth initiative. “We are pleased to welcome Care IT’s state-of-the-art medical clinic to our store. It is an excellent complement to our pharmacy and offers our customers convenient and affordable health care.”
