Memphis Business Journal Wednsday, December 30, 2009 Memphis-based gaming and app designer Resolute has released its latest game, called Plummet, for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Players control a single droplet of water as it plummets down a never-ending well, with the object of the game being to avoid hitting walls. Players use the iPhone's accelerometer, which requires shifting the iPhone left and right to move the droplet. The game also features a local and global leaderboard, linking players to others worldwide, as well as social media connections to friends via e-mail and Facebook. Since it was founded in January 2008, Resolute has created four games and four apps for the iPhone, including an Elvis app for Elvis Presley Enterprises and an app for ArtsMemphis. The company's first game was ThumStruck, a music game for the iPhone, which was released in late 2008. These apps are downloaded on mobile devices and typically cost $1-$3 per download.
