What is Innova's Investment Process?
1. Submit your proposal to Charlie Crawford, Senior Analyst, by clicking here.
2. Within approximately two weeks, you will receive a response with Innova's initial feedback.
- If the proposal moves forward, the due diligence process begins.
- If the proposal does not fit our Investment Criteria, we will inform you at this time.
3. Our extensive research and due diligence process normally takes 3-6 months.
4. Typical steps in the process are as follows:
- Detailed review of your Business Plan and Executive Summary
- Introductory phone conversation
- Independent industry and competitive analysis
- Face-to-face meeting(s)
- Technology and patent review
- Terms and conditions discussions

Investment Criteria
- Preference is given to early-stage companies, where Innova is the first institutional investor.
- Company is headquartered in Tennessee
- 60% of employees must be based in Tennessee.
- Company has fewer than 100 employees.
- Innova can individually invest up to $2MM in a single company. We have a strong national network of syndication partners.
- Company targets high-growth industries such as: Biotech, Medical Device, Technology, and AgBio.
